Vitals Fitness support
Last updated 10 September 2026
Vitals is a personal fitness tracker for iPhone. If something is broken, confusing, or missing, emailbenjamin8james@gmail.com and a real person reads it. Answers to the questions that come up most are below.
I subscribed but Pro is not showing
Open Me, then Settings, and tap Restore purchases. That asks Apple directly for the subscription tied to your Apple Account and turns Pro back on. If it still does not appear, check you are signed in to the same Apple Account that bought it, then email us.
How do I cancel?
Cancelling is done by Apple, not inside Vitals. Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Vitals, then Cancel Subscription. Pro keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing is charged after that.
Is there an account? What happens to my data if I get a new phone?
There is no account, no password and no email signup. Your log lives in the app's own database on your iPhone, which is included in your iCloud or computer backup, so restoring a new phone from that backup brings it across.
Data you sync to Apple Health lives in Health and follows your Health data independently. Deleting the app without a backup deletes the log.
What do the AI features send?
Only the thing you asked about: the meal description you typed and any photos you attached, a label or supplement photo, the food names in a meal for micronutrients, or a claim or research topic and its abstracts. Your name, weight, workouts and the rest of your log are never attached.
Requests go through our small server to Anthropic's Claude API, and the content of neither the request nor the answer is stored by us. The full detail is in thePrivacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Open Me, then Settings, and use Delete all data. That removes your profile, food log, weight history, supplements, workouts, routines, hydration, check-ins and saved research from the device.
Anything Vitals wrote to Apple Health has to be removed in the Health app, and the usage counters on our server expire on their own. Email us if you want those removed sooner.
Why is the app rated 17+?
Vitals covers supplements, peptides and prescription-adjacent research material, and its nutrition targets are adult reference intakes that do not apply to children. The rating reflects that content honestly rather than aiming for a wider audience. Nothing in the app is medical advice.
Apple Health is not syncing
Vitals can only read and write what you granted. Open the Health app, tap your profile picture, tap Apps and Services, tap Vitals, and turn on the categories you want, including the write permissions.
iOS does not tell an app when read access is denied, so a missing weight or step count is almost always a permission that was never turned on.
Reporting a bug
Email benjamin8james@gmail.com with what you tapped, what you expected, and what happened instead. Include the build number from Me, Settings, the Version row, plus your iOS version.
A screenshot helps more than anything else. Bugs that can be reproduced usually ship a fix in the next release.
